Project Overview:
In 2013, M&SCO mission, roles and responsibilities continue to evolve toward providing customers with increased technical expertise in models, modeling, simulations, and strategic integration tasks; planning, preparation, execution and administrative support to M&S SC meetings and conferences; policy development, interpretation, and implementation; public relations and outreach; and research and analysis of models, modeling, and simulations topics to support the DoD Communities.
Responsibilities:
You will provide technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and related strategic initiatives to improve the state of the practice within the DoD in accordance with M&SCO mission. In addition, within SE, contractors provide technical expertise in support of the application of modeling and simulation and coordination of JCIDS related activities in support of the SE priorities.
Serve as focal point for technical aspects of DoD M&S interoperability and reuse initiatives Architectures
JLVC
Data management
Conceptual modeling
Composability technologies and techniques
Visibility: M&S Catalog, milSuite
Lead/participate in efforts of subordinate M&S COI WGs: Data, Cyber, Services, Architecture, VV&A
Facilitate technical outreach to DoD M&S Stakeholders, industry, academia, interagency, and international
Leverage existing capabilities
Horizon scan for emerging capabilities
Prepare AT&L responses to M&S technology-related Congressional requests for information Liaison with DoD CIO to anticipate/influence IT/network infrastructure initiatives that impact DoD M&S
M&S Executive Agents (MSEAs) for environment, foreign forces/systems
Conduct research, analysis, and advocacy in support of DoD M&S technical initiatives
Define technical issues to be addressed in studies
Requirements:
Minimum 15
years of experience in the technical discipline of Modeling and Simulation.
PHD required, in an engineering discipline.
Must demonstrate experience in planning, briefing and coordinating senior-level technical reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participates.
Clearance Required: Current Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated DoD/Industry leadership in the M&S technical field desired
