As a software development engineer you work on a small team and can switch assignments and projects in a disciplined and fast paced environment. You will work as part of a team of expert data scientists, engineers and managers. You must be confident to tackle complex engineering problems, and will be expected to work on design algorithms and codify large-scale statistical models for real time processing based on our analytics architecture.
Advanced Analytics
The Advanced Analytics service area is comprised of professionals that possess competency and experience in the areas of risk management, business and operational targeting processes, computational linguistics, machine learning, knowledge discovery, semantic engineering, probabilistic and statistical data mining. Advanced Analytics professionals use these skills to assess, analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of targeting methods, operational control processes, offer recommendations to improve operations, and assist clients with enterprise risk and compliance activities.
Key
Responsibilities:
Design and build analytics solutions for very large scale data with Java and Oracle
Design and build analytics solutions with a focus on national security
Experience working with large complex data sets, with programming skills in Java/C+
or a similar object-oriented programming language
Drive development of analytics solutions that impact national security missions and performance
Participate in and/or lead cross-functional analytics efforts and positively influence
Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle
QualificationsRequirements:
BS in Computer Science or a related technical field

years of experience in software development with Java and object-oriented programming
Expertise with big data analysis and programming experience in Java/C++, or Python with object oriented design skills
Experience with distributed computing environments (MapReduce, Hadoop, HBase, Pig and NoSQL)
Experience in Weblogic Application Server preferred
Experience with Java core libraries, object oriented programming, design patterns, JSP, Javascript and web application programming
Java J2EE Developer Certifications PreferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
