Temporary Position
The Computer-Based Training (CBT) Developer is a full-time exempt employee responsible for designing and developing web-based training course modules to meet customer needs in support of the Marine Corps Recruiting Information Support System (MCRISS). This position will be part of the HSSI Creative Design Group (CDG) and will report to the CDG Manager. _(This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an at will relationship.)_
Duties and Responsibilities
The HSSI CBT Developer requires an individual who can work independently with little supervision as well as collaboratively on a team; and possesses excellent design, organizational and communication skills. The duties below are not inclusive and the incumbent may perform all or some combination of the duties listed, as well as other job-related duties as required. (E) = Essential Functions
Creates interactive multimedia instruction content outlines, flowcharts, and storyboards that address written, visual, and audio requirements (E)
Develops course support materials and documentation (E)
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements computer-based training modules using appropriate software (E)
Coordinates with software developers and trainers to ensure training materials are comprehensive and accurate (E)
Possesses knowledge of instructional design and facilitated learning through technology; uses instructional design methodology for adult learners (E)
Writes scripts to match comprehension level of target audience (E)
Collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts to adapt current course content to online delivery (E)
Properly documents design and development work in accordance with customer requirements (E)
Engages throughout the development process to ensure changes or enhancements are incorporated into training materials (E)
Identifies hardware and software solutions for web-based instructional products
Performs other job related duties to meet business needs
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must be a US citizen
2. Must successfully pass initial drug screening and periodic follow-up testing.
3. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain, if necessary, a secret or other security clearance.
4. Must successfully complete an HSSI background check.
5. Must possess a valid driver's license.
6. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in Instructional/Educational Technology, eLearning, or related field required.
7. 2- 4 years of relevant work experience; 2-4 years computer-based and/or web-based training development experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Professional understanding of educational technology and how to use it effectively
Knowledge of best practices and instructional strategies for eLearning
Strong conceptual thinking; the ability to take raw content and create storyboards that support delivering an engaging eLearning experience.
Able to use a variety of eLearning authoring and/or software applications packages such as Articulate, Adobe Audition, Camtasia, Lectora, and Snag-It
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skill.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Indoor office environment, travel as necessary
Physical Requirements :
Hearing and speaking to exchange information; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents; sitting for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting objects up to 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
