ObjectiveResponsiveTrustedThe Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among othersOur support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event preventionThe Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program managementSSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysisSSAG is hiring for a Weapon Systems EngineerResponsibilities Support the Navy SSP customer in a fast paced new Acquisition development program for the Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) programThe successful candidate will support the integration of a cruise missile air vehicle into the launch tube environment and lead the coordination and integration efforts for Underwater Launch across multiple Government and Contractor organizationsThis position will be responsible for coordinating Air Vehicle to Launcher interface specification designs including the mechanical, electrical, shock, hydrodynamic, temperature and pressure environments within the launch tube and throughout underwater launchThe coordination activities will include technical planning, scheduling, and execution of critical design, integration, testing, and verification activities throughout the development and integration processesThe position will provide leadership and management support for multidisciplinary study teams and perform study planning, coordination of modeling and simulation tasks, evaluation of study results, evaluation of contractor detailed designs, data extraction and analysis, and briefing to senior program leadershipProvide support for the development of system requirements, specifications, and architectureSupport system integration activities for launcher, multiple all-up-round canister development, and other ship to air vehicle integration tasksQualifications Required Qualificationso Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or other STEM field.
o Active or prior DoD security clearance.
o 5
years experience in Underwater Launch design and testing for Navy Missile systems.
o 10
years experience in Systems Engineering and design activities within the DoD Acquisition System.
o Experience with data analytics (e.
gdescriptive statistics, predictive modeling, data visualization), and this can include significant academic projects.
o Knowledge/course work of mechnical engineering, CFD, control theory, and/or applied mathematics.
o Proven ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment conducting analysis with uncertainties or incomplete data.
o Must be capable of breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutionsDesired Qualificationso Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
o Master's Degree in a related field.
o Experience with weapon system acquisition programs.
o Preference for experience working with PyCharm, git, BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence.
