Develop and execute simulations of imaging sensor systems including characterization of the performance of the optical sensor and associated digital signal processing algorithmsPosition responsibilities to include:
o Designing and developing threat detection and discrimination algorithms capable of being implemented in real-time hardwareo Perform analysis/design of optics and sensors including detailed account of atmospheric transmission effectso Analyzing the data generated by the real-time system and/or digital modelso Collecting field data using the system under development.
Qualifications:
BS/MS/Ph.
Din Electrical Engineering, Physicist or equivalent with demonstrated specialization in optics and a strong background in computer programming and systems simulationKnowledge in some or several of these areas is preferred:
o Strong experience with programming in higher level languages such as C/C+
and Matlab.
o Strong experience with Linux.
o Experience with electronic warfare and Infrared Countermeasure principles.
o Develop applications and scripts used for data mining signature databases.
o Integration of System Models (e.
gSimulink, Executables, Scripts) into a comprehensive digital simulation of the system under development.
o Analyze IRCM system/subsystem components to determine performance and performance optimization options based on analysis findingso Main Effects Analysis o Signal Characterizationo Algorithm SW Debugging (i.
eCausality Identification)o Familiarity with distributing computing HW/SW management in Linux is a plus.
o Familiarity with developing and implementing algorithms in AMD (Xilinx) FPGAs is a plus.

$100,000.
00 - $150,000.
