Systems Engineer II
CALIBRE, an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company is looking for a System Engineer, to support business systems infrastructure.
Must be able to test and document system behavior, performance, and security.
Ability to design, develop, support, and maintain the organization s system infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.
Make updates to the system related installation documentation.
Perform escalated end-user support within an internal helpdesk.
System Engineer II typically reports to a manager.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for activities related to system administration Ability to organize team members as a lead on assigned projects Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system Participate in team on-call rotations Required Skills Technical knowledge in areas such as networking, Windows and Linux administration, database configuration and administration, virtualization, and security Ability to develop and organize written documentation and procedures is required Virtualization technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and / or VMware vSphere / vCenter Core Competencies:
Requires strong knowledge of PC / Network communications hardware / software, in a multi-protocol environment and network management software Request strong knowledge of Microsoft Server on-premises, Active Directory, Group Policy management, and other Windows Domain management tasks.
Experience with virtual environments Familiarity with storage systems; SANS, File Servers, etc.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work both individually and in a collaborative team environment Ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines Ability to think critically Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time Required Experience Bachelor s Degree or 2 - 4 years equivalent work experience Appropriate Certifications:
Security+, MSCA or other related Microsoft Certifications, VMware VCTA.
