In this position, you will work with our dynamic and passionate team at Goodwin House Home Health.
As an SLP, you will develop and implement the safe delivery of quality skilled Home Health therapy services to seniors in their homes.
Goodwin House Home Health provides skilled care throughout Northern Virginia, focusing on the counties of:
Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun.
DutiesProvide comprehensive communication and swallowing evaluations and treatments, under referral from the attending physician, to overcome specific losses in ability to communicate and swallow due to specific diseases and injuryConsult with Director of Home Health, as well as therapy and nursing staff after communication and swallowing assessments, on needs for additional services, such as nursing, home health aide, physical therapy, or occupational therapy that may not already be in placeEffectively communicate with the referring physician and nursing staff concerning changes in the patients condition, and necessary changes to the initial Plan of Care due to such changes.
Coordinate treatment with nursing staff, home health aides, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, as necessaryDocument evaluations, treatment sessions and services provided in the home according to agency protocols and Medicare guidelines, completing all documentation in a timely and effective manner for both communication with other health professionals and billing purposesQualificationsActive Speech Language Pathology License in the Commonwealth of VirginiaPrior home health care experienceDependable Transportation, Current Drivers License and auto InsuranceCurrent CPRA sampling of our many
