Consultants play a vital role in providing advisory services to clients around federal health care regulations including the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Laws, HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, and other state and federal laws and regulations.
Consultants work both in teams and independently to assist health care organizations with the development, implementation, evaluation, and management of effective compliance programs.
This position involves extensive writing, interaction with clients, and will involve periods of travel.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess:
An in-depth understanding of federal and state health care regulatory regulations, such as the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Laws, HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, as well as Medicare and Medicaid requirements Professional demeanor and approach to work Ability to present professionally and intelligently to clients and potential clients Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Law Degree or Master's Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Public Policy/Administration, or Business Administration (health care industry emphasis is preferred) 3-5 years of relevant experience working in the Compliance Department of a health care provider or payer, or as a health care compliance consultant Compliance certifications including CHC, CHPC, CHRC, and/or CCEP, or other relevant compliance certifications, or willingness and ability to obtain certificationAbout Strategic Management Services, LLC:
