The Electrical Engineer 4 candidate will bolster a growing team of electrical engineers tasked to deliver specialized hardware devices and systems.
The project work involves embedded systems development to the board level on projects that span motion control and robotics applications, sensor integration, power modules, special communications systems, and size, weight, and power optimization.
A successful candidate will have the hardware experience necessary to immediately contribute to project activities such as system diagrams, power budgets, component selection, schematics, board layouts, and troubleshooting.
They will display technical credibility during interactions with both the internal team and external customers and be capable of deriving solutions from limited requirement sets.
The candidate shall also possess a shared sense of responsibility and commitment for finishing products with teammates.
Essential Job ResponsibilitiesResearches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposesMust Have9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret or higher security clearance Ability to work within a multi-discipline team environment Ability to analyze complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical, and effective solutions Experience with the following:
Printed circuit board (PCB) and cable harness design Mixed digital and analog circuit design Board level component selection including, but not limited to - microcontrollers, FPGAs, DC-DC converters, ADCs, accelerometers, etc.
Various communciation protocols including USB, SPI, I2C, and UART Schematic capture and layout using Altium or equivalent SW tools PCB bring-up and debugging, test plan documentation, requirements verification Hands-on assembly of and modifications to custom and COTS electronics systems Use of standard electrical test equipment including, but not limited to - DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, electronic loads Creation of complete technical data packages Requirements tracking through design process Bonus Points For Active TS or TS/SCI security clearance Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware, and cabling Circuit layout within tight and unusual mechanical constraints Low SWAP Multi-board systems High speed layout High power layout Controlled impedance RF, antennas, and communication system integration Design process oriented and milestone driven Ability to mentor/lead more junior engineers and technicians Experience interfacing directly with customers for requirements development and progress reporting Experience contributing to technical proposal writing, cost estimating and technical risk assessments Physical RequirementsOffice, industrial or shipboard environment.
Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
