SR. Incident Response Analyst

A client in the Alexandria, VA area is seeking a Sr.
Incident Response Analyst in support of a federal client.
Candidates will be the SR.
team member who handles high level security and network vulnerabilities - will help train and mentor Jr.
staff.
Team is a group of 10 working in a SOC environment.
Candidate will have in depth experience within Security operations and maintenance - also must have good understanding of network operations in a CISCO environment.
familiarity with Netwitness Exebeam for SIM FireEye, Trellix - team will be replacing FireEye to another EDR - any experience using Cortex, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike is a plus BA/BS degree or substitute 4 years of experience if no degree 10 years of overall professional work experience with 7 years of experience within Cyber Security specifically part of a CIRT, SOC, or Vulnerability scanning role IAT II (Security+) is required Secret clearance is preferred - if candidates do not have a Secret Clearance or higher they MUST BE ABLE TO EARN A SECRET CLEARANCE Experience using Nessus for scanning Experience/familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls Experienced working in a CISCO environment troubleshooting any network related security issues MUST BE ONSITE 5 DAYS A WEEK for first 2-3 months - telework is available after that - must be able to work onsite to familiarize with team, environment, etc.
Recommended Skills Cisco Computer Security Maintenance Problem Solving Vulnerability Vulnerability Scanning Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
