A client in the Alexandria, VA area is seeking a Network Engineer to support a federal client.
envisions, designs, administers, and maintains multiple data, voice, and video telecommunication networks, systems and software.
Responsibilities include the oversight of multifaceted system deployments and upgrades.
Contributes to and leads large program and project initiatives that integrate multiple technologies.
Joins with senior management in the strategic planning and development of functional requirements.
Mentors junior IT staff on systems integration and operations, ensuring system compatibility and configuration standards are maintained.
Candidates do not need a Secret Clearance to start - however, all candidates must be eligible to earn a Secret Clearance-Ciena for telecommunications is desired, however knowledge of use is fine-Riverbed is desired-CCNP or CCIE is a huge plus-BA Degree and 8 years of experience in a Network related role-CISCO environment routers and switches-CISCO ISE and ACI experience - team is implementing towards the fall and would like to see candidates with related experience-Infoblox is a plus - team wants to focus more on CISCO products-Candidate will provide design, implementation to existing and new network systems-Must have Lead, Managerial, or Project Manager experience/background-Eager candidate who can be creative, enthusiastic, try and learn new things wont be a button pusher-Able to earn Secret clearance existing clearance is a huge plus-Existing Sec
