65 an hour 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to manage accounts payables, vendor maintenance and reconciliation, and fixed asset management.
In this key role, you will also be the primary contact for union payments, and serve as back-up for payroll and billing, as well as other accounting analysis tasks to support the Accounting and Finance Team.
Responsibilities:
Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing payment and ensure they are processed timely and efficiently Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls by validating data-entry accuracy, and general ledger coding and documentation requirements Reconcile vendor statements; research and resolve discrepancies; maintain vendor files and documentation Prepare cash requirements report to support disbursement of checks Function as lead contact for union payments; prepare monthly spreadsheets; calculate union liabilities and ensures timely payments Review expense/vendor costs and negotiate savings; provide year-over-year analysis of costs Assist in the research of monthly job cost variances, such as supplies, benefits, and equipment Assists Operations in researching job cost variances, equipment and repair parts purchases, audit of bid sheet entries, and equipment inventory Prepare analysis of accounts Assists with other projects as needed Our requirements:
At least two years of experience performing full cycle accounts payables duties in a high-volume environment Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent analytical and research skills Highly organized with effective time management skills Ability to work independently with limited supervision Flexible and able to shift needs with the demands of the business Accounting degree is preferable, not required Mister Kleen is Proud to Offer:
