R-00119001 Description The Intelligence Group at Leidos has an immediate opening for a Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to work in our Alexandria, VA facility.
This is an opportunity to use your experience in Collateral and SCI and security programs in support of our operations.
Primary ResponsibilitiesList daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
The AFSO/CPSO is responsible for helping the FSO implement the industrial security program and ensure company and customer security requirements are met.
o The successful candidate will interface with all levels of Leidos personnel and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD 5220.
22-M, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.
o The candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.
o The AFSO/CPSO must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contracts and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.
o Provide clear guidance to company employees, and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate.
o Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits, Self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs & etc.
o Perform physical, personnel, comsec and administrative security responsibilities for multiple SCIFs, which often calls for requests to government security representatives regarding accreditations, personnel actions, AIS transmissions and working with other government facility sponsors to draft co-use agreements and MOUs/MOAs for shared space.
Basic Qualificationso Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined educationo 8
years of professional experienceo Self-starter and customer service orientatedo Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM supplement, overprint and other government regulations (e.
g.
DoDM 5105.
21 M-1, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards, Executive Orders and SEADs).
o Commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customerso Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operationso General understanding of Physical Security requirements for ICD 705o Experience with creating and issuing DD-254so Ability to manage SCI programso Thorough understanding of security databases such as NISS, DISS and eQIPo Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriateo Ability to develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education programo Strong communications skills, both oral and writteno Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be able to meet eligibility requirements for access to SCI.
o Experience developing and implementing OPSEC, SOPs, and emergency action planso Experience submitting SCI Nomination packageso Ability to answer after hour alarms Preferred

o FSO Certificationo Experience Leading Teamso Courier preparation procedureso Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systemso Experience with SCIF construction and ICD 705 certified o Experience conducting Security incident inquirieso Resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunitieso COMSEC experienceo Professional Certifications/Affiliationso Experience Reviewing RFPs, RFIs and SOWs and articulating security requirements to program leadership Pay Range:
Pay Range $75,400.
00 - $136,300.
