Senior Intelligence Analyst (Defense Capabilities) with Security Clearance

Tyto Athene has an opening for an Operational Planner with military experience to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Cost Analysis and Program Evaluation (CAPE), Joint Data Support (JDS).
This position will entail coordination with key stakeholders within JDS, the Joint Staff, and across the Department of Defense (DoD) to facilitate development of plans focused on future year scenarios and to identify associated demands upon U.
S.
military forces.
Although the position is at the Mark Center, in Alexandria Virginia, it requires travel to the Pentagon and other offices in the National Capital Region.
The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.
The individual must work with other government and contractor planners, and possess strong leadership and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively across OSD, Joint Staff, and other DoD Components to facilitate development and integration of future-year operational plans.
Use collaboration tools to enhance communications.
Write reports, develop briefings, and facilitate meetings.
Apply management skills for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects.
Ensure team compliance with governance and strategic guidance applicable to operational planning.
Participate in JDS knowledge management activities for force planning products, strategic guidance documents, forces data, and related studies.
Maintain understanding of the military capabilities, strategic goals, and allegiance of key countries associated with future-year planning scenarios.
Qualifications:
Required:
BA and 12 years of experience, or MA and 7 years of experience.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, upgradeable to SCI (polygraph not required).
At least 5 years (10 years highly preferred) of experience, or related education and experience, in operational planning and/or the management of forces, units, equipment, or infrastructure.
Experience in one of the Services.
Demonstrated abilities to develop papers and present briefings to senior DoD officials.
Technically proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Project management experience (Project Management Professional Certification preferred).
Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Issue resolution skills.
Desired/Preferred:
Pentagon knowledge.
Familiarity with key national, DoD, and Joint Staff strategic guidance.
Experience working in the Joint Staff, OSD, or a Combatant Command.
Experience with force sizing, shaping, and capability development.
Master's degree Intermediate-level Professional Military Education.
