Position Overview:

Parsons is now hiring a Vice President of Contracts, Engineered Systems for our rapidly expanding team.
At this level you manage a team on Contract professionals and are ultimately responsible for all Contract activity (New Business, Existing Business and Close-out activity) within a major Market within Parsons' Federal Division.
You will be responsible for negotiation of the most significant contracts or contract modifications, often under difficult conditions.
You must be fully knowledgeable of all legal, business, financial, and long-term implication of prime contract negotiation and maintenance.
Developing positive relationships with current and future customers is imperative in this role.
Travel to the client's offices or to the project site may be required, either before the contract receives final approval or during the life of the contract.
What You'll Be Doing:
Effectively build strong relationships with internal and external customers Effectively manage of group of Contract Professionals Keen attention to detail with skills to Effectively team with the Market Lead, Market BD Lead and Market Finance Lead to achieve all the goals /objectives of the Market.
Negotiates the most significant contracts or contract modifications, often under difficult conditions.
Draws upon broad prior experience to effectively negotiate the most favor terms and conditions with prospective and current clients while achieving Company objectives.
Identifies risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
Participates in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.
g.
, risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.
).
Selects personnel, makes staffing assignments, supervises work produced to ensure consistent high-quality performance.
Provides training and development for personnel assignedMaintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
Keeps subordinates up to date relative to the availability of resource materials dealing with current contract administration and negotiation issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
JD in Law or bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field 15
years of prime contract administration experience to include construction for the Federal Government.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
Experience working with Federal agencies.
(ex.
DOD) Possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
Must be capable of independently negotiating the most complex contractual issues.
Proven ability for managing and directing work involving complex situations.

Salary Range:
$175,100.
00 - $334,800.
