Operations Cybersecurity Analyst

Description The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an experienced, professional Operations Cybersecurity Analyst to support a DoD organization.
A successful candidate needs to be a high-energy, well-organized, detail-oriented, forward-thinking, analyst and planner with executive-level experience, familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity standards and policies, and the ability to function independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will provide cybersecurity in support of the DoD CIO cybersecurity strategic initiatives, from the development of key policy to the synchronization of activities between DoD components.
The Operations Cybersecurity Analyst will coordinate documenting policies and processes with other departments and the Cybersecurity organization.
Enable and provision strategic planning sessions intended at recognizing and ranking cybersecurity initiatives.
Gather information from other agencies, USCYBERCOM, and external sponsors to develop Cybersecurity products department review and approval.
Research and counsel the DoD leaders and Cybersecurity department on opportunities for progressing Cybersecurity that shape the future of the DoD Cybersecurity policies and operations.
Responsible for the DoD Cybersecurity gathering and assimilation of security initiatives to propel architecture & engineering activities to enhance operational activities.
Find opportunities to adopt security protocols to boost the DoD security reliability and reduce vulnerabilities.
The candidate will work with the DoD CIO organization to formulate engineering designs, systems requirements, concept of operations, and architecture designs to support Cybersecurity strategic goals.
In addition, this role will support the DoD CIO security controls validation and verification.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, manage, and oversee operations to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
Provide thorough reviews of all department policy directives and identify those in need of updating.
Provide reviews for various DoD policy documents to include policies, manuals, and SOPs.
Review existing policies to determine which documents need archiving or updating.
As a cyber strategic planning and policy development, you'll lead the assessment of the DoD's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks.
You'll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you'll advance the development of a strategic cyber roadmap.
You'll work in a consultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment.
Ability to research current cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Ability to brief senior leaders on cybersecurity matters.
Ability to provide proactive, timely problem-solving solutions to benefit the DoD cybersecurity posture.
Required Skills:
Cyber Security Certification (CISSP, CISM, or similar).

years of experience in Cybersecurity disciplines.
Experience in cybersecurity policy at the DoD levels.
Experience with staff coordination across the DoD components Must be operationally oriented and able to multitask/prioritize work in a high-volume environment.
Team player with a positive and professional demeanor, strong customer service awareness, and excellent organizational skills.
Flexible and forward-leaning especially with regards to operations and planning.
Agility with task management, coordination, and execution.
Solid knowledge of MS Office suite especially with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to multitask and execute directives effectively and with little supervision.
Ability to share information and guide activities productively.
Superior presentation skills.
Experience with interacting with Government officials and senior military personnel.
Confident and self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
Basic
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree and 8
years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6
years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

years of relevant DoD, operations, and business experience.
Active Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance.
Excellent decision-making skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Suite of tools.
Highly reliable and dependable.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.
00 - $176,250.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
