DutiesThe physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.This position is eligible for the selectee's preference of either:

You are looking forward to serving as the primary administrative liaison with senior personnel in other USPTO business units, e.g., Office of Administrative Services (OAS), Office of Human Resources (OHR), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), and Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), for cross-collaboration of ideas, services, products and personnel to improve and/or enhance customer service delivery and experience.
You are ready to prepare, review, analyze, and implement OPE's organizational standard operating procedures (SOP) in operational and administrative areas such as human capital, employee development, budget planning and execution, travel, telework, and space, property, and equipment management.
You are skilled to manage the preparation and execution of the annual operating plan for the OPE and monitors expenditures throughout the year to assure they are in accordance with budget authorizations and comply with applicable regulations.
You will thrive at planning, scheduling and carrying out Program Administration Division activities, including supervising and directing assigned staff; prepares input, and justifies assigned budget for assigned team activities; and exercises judgment to define and modify the programs to assure objectives are met. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13.Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience overseeing and evaluating program operations, in the areas of budget, human resources, information technology, procurement, property, records management, and/or corporate/government travel.Experience preparing detailed and summary budget, fiscal, and program operating plans for an organization. Experience providing technical assistance and direction to supervisors on budget controls and fundingExperience briefing senior leadership members and executives on an organization's routine and administrative matters.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
