Experienced paralegal with background in handling a case from inception through appeals process (filing documents through ECF; cite-checking, proofreading briefs; basic legal and factual research; article retrieval; manage document collections/production; create deposition kits, exhibits, trial exhibits; familiarity with Federal Circuit practice and procedures); trial experience; familiarity with patents; DMS and Summation (or similar programs); experience with USPTO PAIR electronic filing systems a plus.
Litigation experience required; patent experience preferred, but not required; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Summation programs; strong organizational and communication skills; excellent attention to detail; ability to follow detailed instructions; ability to multi-task; availability for overtime (including weekends); availability for travel. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
