research and solutions, is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Summer Intern in our Alexandria, VA office. The Consulting Intern will report to a Senior Consultant, and will work with our Business Advisory
services
group in supporting projects with the Veterans Administration, Military Health System, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, and commercial clients. Altarum's Internship Program offers paid internships, and provides interns with challenging work related to their major, encourages professional growth, and is recognized by the Institute as a valuable part of our commitment to developing a talented and diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:
This internship is designed to offer an exceptional student the opportunity to provide support for ongoing analysis programs and projects in the areas of health policy, health quality assessment, operations research, statistics, business analytics, strategic communications, mathematical programming, or programmatic evaluations.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS in Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related degree.
Ability to do web-related research; analyse data using Excel spreadsheets; read, process, and effecticely summarize large documents into digestable slices of information for Altarum staff.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational ability, and familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), as well as the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
An interest in exploring a career in healthcare consulting.
Must be able to receive a U.S. Security Clearance (sole U.S. citizenship required).
