Primary
Responsibilities:
The Information Assurance (IA) Specialist will coordinate IA
services
to potential customers.
Development of System Security Accreditation Agreement (SSAA) and/or Certification & Accreditation (C&A;) Plan documentation in accordance with the DIACAP guidelines.
Develop supporting documentation in support of Interim Authority to Connect (IATC), Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), and Authority to Operate (ATO).
Develop documentation and assist with all phases to support the Software Support Activity (SSA).
Use the Vulnerability Management System (VMS) to enter data, run routine reports.
Provide assistance to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities and create plan of actions and milestones (POA&M;) for risk mitigation.
Create all required C&A; documentation and maintain the documentation using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
Facility security and site surveys; Certification Testing & Evaluation (CT&E;) and operational Security Testing & Evaluation (ST&E;); track and monitor FISMA and IA data calls.
Act as project lead for systems; perform task as directed by the Government lead or system owner leading to the assurance that the IA requirements are met.
Liaison with various Government agencies and contractors to process C&A; documentation for final approval and Independent Verification and Verification (IV&V;) of technical documentation.
Ensure that all monitored systems comply with the DoD Gold disk, STIGs, IAVA, IAVB, IAV-TA, Security Control procedures in addition to FISMA requirements. Report on all security, IA, and C&A; compliance requirements.
Required Skills
Qualifications/Skills/Minimum
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Information Assurance
Understanding of C&A; processes.
Complete understanding of the entire DIACAP process.
Thorough knowledge of certification testing tools
Experience developing SSAA and C&A; Plan documentation of DoD Systems
Understanding of basic DOD facility security requirements.
Responds/troubleshoot/resolve network, enterprise, and client level networking and application issues.
Experience working with multiple Government and contractor personnel on a common project.
Knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) , Gold Disk, and JTF-GNO IAVA, IAVB, IAV-TA
Experience briefing project details to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to conduct system assessments to determine alignment with functional and security requirements
Knowledge of STIGs, patching, securing systems, Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms;) and other information security principles and associated supporting technologies
Education/Training:
Bachelor Degree in a
computer
related field (preferred). An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance of above
