Systems Engineer will join an agile, dynamic firm that designs and builds rapidly deployable, cutting-edge products for the Defense, Intelligence, and Security community. Systems Engineer will be responsible for the integration of requirements, design, risk mitigation, and technology of complex systems. Qualified candidates should have general experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and RF engineering; as well as experience with program processes such as configuration management (CM), risk management, quality assurance (QA), and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Serve as a system engineering representative on projects for both customers and project teams
Guide users and team members in formulation requirements, advise on viability of alternatives, and conduct and evaluate feasibility studies
Provide systems engineering support to meet requirements for system upgrades, installation of new systems, and system requirements
Assist with developing, managing, and implementing requirements management plans and processes to ensure logical and systematic conversion of requirements into systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Provide technical assistance to Program Managers and provide technical recommendations of technologies, techniques, or components to assist with meeting project goals and minimizing project risks
Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces
Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and system architecture
Assess and interpret technical anomalies and resolve cross-functional technical issues
Provide technical assistance and engineering support necessary to fulfill pre-development activities, including: architecture, tradeoff and upgrade studies, requirements analysis, functional analysis, and rough order of magnitude cost and schedule evaluations
Implement policies and procedures for systems engineering in accordance with government regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have an active, DoD Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or Electrical)
3 - 5 years of experience in systems engineering
Experience with planning, designing, developing, and verifying lifecycle-balanced systems of systems solutions
Knowledge of engineering analysis (mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability, etc.)
Ability to seamlessly incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
