Leidos has an immediate opportunity for a junior-level Software Engineer
working on the Army Equipping Enterprise System at Ft. Belvoir, VA in support of Headquarters, Department of the Army. Position requires eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance which requires US citizenship.
Job Description:
Working in concert with a team of Software Developers, participates in full software development lifecycle: analyzing requirements, developing designs, implementing and testing software/web applications using Java, Java Swing, J2EE, JSP, Weblogic, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. Specifically, writes code, assists in developing technical solutions; proposes solutions; writes, modifies, and maintains software documentation and specifications; performs integration testing; installs, configures, and troubleshoots various software programs, prepares reports on analysis and findings.
Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering/technical discipline and 1
year hands-on, full time object-oriented, full life-cycle software development experience using Java, JSP/Servlets; OR recent graduates will be considered, with significant Java coursework including at least 3 programming projects using Java based technologies in lieu of direct experience.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, basic data structures, basic Java language constructs, keywords, compilation, core API, HTML/JavaScript, Java Swing.
Perferred Quaifications:
Weblogic/Tomcat/J2EE application server, Linux, Shell Scripting, JavaScript libraries such as ExtJS, AJAX, Adobe Flash Builder (aka Flex), Web based graphics experience, Apache Struts, SQL, Sun Certified Java Certification(s)
