Job Purpose
This position has primary responsibility for HRIS electronic record systems maintenance, benefit plan administration, employment offers and new hire orientation, and workers' compensation administration. This position also provides support to Human Resources Manager for policy/procedure development and implementation and other tasks as needed.
Essential Duties
Maintain HRIS and employee benefits electronic record- keeping systems, ensuring accuracy and currency of employee compensation, job position, status, and personal information.
Process semi-monthly payroll and prepare and maintain all necessary payroll reports and relevant documentation.
Serve as point-of-contact for employee inquires related to compensation, leave policies, benefit plans, and workers' compensation insurance benefits.
Conduct new hire orientations and benefits briefings for new employees to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans, enrollment provisions, and company policies and procedures.
Assist in administrating health and welfare plans (medical/dental, group Life/AD&D, LTD, STD, FSA), as well as 401(k) retirement plan
Review insurance carrier invoices for accuracy. Resolves discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company. Completes reports for management as requested.
Assist in annual benefits plan renewals and coordination of employee open enrollment process.
Serve as liaison between employee and insurance providers to answer insurance- related questions, resolve issues, and ensure effective use of plans.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
