About the Job
Our Client, a leader in the business travel industry is looking for an International Accounting Sr. Analyst to be located in the Washington DC Area.
Key
Responsibilities:
Support the Latin America, European, and Asia Pac regions on GAAP accounting issues and provide accounting and reporting guidelines
Gain an understanding of contracts and deals related to these regions as well as proper GAAP applications
Obtain an understanding of regional forecasts and responsible for variance analysis between actuals and forecast on a monthly basis
Partner with regional based teams and external auditors on quarterly and annual filings, VAT requirements, as well as all other financial requirements to ensure compliance
Complete in depth analysis on P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance reporting. Financial reports to be completed in functional currency as well USD
Assist with the consolidation and reporting of global financials
Prepare Monthly Reporting Packages to be distributed to Senior Management
Complete monthly income statement and balance sheets for each region
Develop and implement controls, process enhancements, and accounting policies in connection with accounting and reporting structure.
Liaison with internal and external auditors to ensure that all documentation required for audit review is accurate and complete
Complete special projects and analyses as requested by senior management
Technical Skills & Qualifications
:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA required
Approximately 5-7 years experience,
Strong knowledge of GAAP required
Strong analytical skills
Spanish speaking a plus
Non Profit or Association accounting a plus
Strong knowledge of Great Plains knowledge required
FRX, Forecaster a plus
Microsoft Excel
CPA a plus
Experience with ACHs, wires and foreign currency transactions
ADP Payroll & Conur a plus
Personal Skills:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment where a daily open items list may changes constantly
Ability to communicate decisions and recommendations to management and staff in a clear, concise manner
Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with all levels of professionals
Deadline conscious with strong drive and initiative and ability to work well in time-sensitive situationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
