Project Overview
In 2013, M&SCO mission, roles and responsibilities continue to evolve toward providing customers with increased technical expertise in models, modeling, simulations, and strategic integration tasks; planning, preparation, execution and administrative support to M&S SC meetings and conferences; policy development, interpretation, and implementation; public relations and outreach; and research and analysis of models, modeling, and simulations topics to support the DoD Communities.
Responsibilites
You will provide technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and related strategic initiatives to improve the state of the practice within the DoD in accordance with M&SCO mission. In addition, within SE, contractors provide technical expertise in support of the application of modeling and simulation and coordination of JCIDS related activities in support of the SE priorities.
Serve as focal point for DoD M&S policy and guidance
Write/maintain/coordinate AT&L-promulgated M&S Issuances
DoDD 5000.59, DoDI 5000.70, DoDI 5000.61 (VV&A) - DoD M&S Glossary, Best Practices, and Recommended Practices Guides, etc.
Assess impact(s) of Issuances and DoD guidance external to AT&L on DoD M&S
Serve as Secretariat for DoD M&S governance structure/group(s), to include:
Information sharing/collaboration on DoD M&S Community SharePoint site and milSuite
Obtain clearance of M&SCO information for public release
Prepare AT&L responses to M&S-related:
FOIA requests
Congressional requests for information
Conduct research, analysis, and advocacy in support of policy and guidance
Define policy-related issues to be addressed in studies.
Required:
Bachelors degree
10 years' experience working with DoD M&S governance
Demonstrate experience in planning, briefing, and coordinating senior-level technical reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participants
Desired:
10
years' experience in the technical discipline of Modeling & Simulation
Prior experience in formal Defense policy development
Prior military staff experience
