Project OverView
In 2013, M&SCO mission, roles and responsibilities continue to evolve toward providing customers with increased technical expertise in models, modeling, simulations, and strategic integration tasks; planning, preparation, execution and administrative support to M&S SC meetings and conferences; policy development, interpretation, and implementation; public relations and outreach; and research and analysis of models, modeling, and simulations topics to support the DoD Communities.
Responsibilities:
You will provide technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and related strategic initiatives to improve the state of the practice within the DoD in accordance with M&SCO mission. In addition, within SE, contractors provide technical expertise in support of the application of modeling and simulation and coordination of JCIDS related activities in support of the SE priorities.
Coordinate/support M&SCO participation in International activities:
NATO M&S Group
TTCP TP2
Korea, i.e., Defense Analysis Seminar
Japan
Taiwan
Singapore
Congressional M&S Caucus activities
Industry activities: NDIA/NTSA
Community Forums: MORS, ITEA, IITSEC, GEOINT
STEM activities
Coordinate/support M&SCO collaboration with interagency organizations: DHS, DoE, NIST, etc.
Distribute/share M&SCO and DoD M&S information on M&SCO Website and online resources, to include DoD M&S Community SharePoint site and milSuite
Provide research, analysis, and advocacy in support of outreach and interagency/international relations
Required Skills:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the Department of Defense
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in planning, briefing, and coordinating senior-level technical reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participants
Desired Skills:
Experience working in Modeling & Simulation management and use
Military experience and staff experience
Experience in public affairs/outreach
Clearance: Current Secret Clearance Required
