Serves as Deputy Chief of NAF Survey Operations for the DCPAS, Wage and Salary Division, NAF Pay Systems Branch.

Direct Deposit is required Social Security card is required / Incumbent is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and overseeing the activities of project officers and data collectors engaged in conducting Nonappropriated Fund full scale, wage change and special wage surveys. Assigns wage surveys and special projects, maintaining continual review of staff and survey activities. Identifies and resolves problems that may occur during the wage survey process. Trains project officers and data collectors in all phases of the wage survey process and procedures such as orientation and the training of Local Wage Survey Committee/Board, training of local data collectors, and review and analysis of data collected. Analyzes wage survey data and selects wage lines for recommendation to the Chief, NAF Pay Systems Branch; presents survey and recommended wage lines to the DoD Wage Committee for approval; insures proper wage schedules are issued and distributed. Assists the Division Chief with overall administration of the program by studying assumptions, methodologies, and concepts used in the NAF salary and wage process and recommends changes. Oversees a training and travel operating budget assuring fiscal year goals are feasible and attainable.
Managerial experience and knowledge of the Federal Pay System with work experience comparable in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade conducting full scale, wage change and special wage surveys/studies.
In addition to the above, highly qualified candidates will possess all of the following:
1. Demonstrated experience directing Local Wage Survey Committees, accomplishing local surveys of industry establishments on time and recommending a wage result based on data collected.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of the eight month survey process and analysis of survey data.
3. Experience in communicating with OPM regarding survey processes and results.
