Description: MPR is actively seeking an individual experienced in contracts management for a full time position in our Alexandria, VA office. The ideal candidate will bring experience in both commercial and federal government contract environments.
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for supporting aspects of MPR-s contract management process with the Contracts Manager. This position is part of the Finance and Accounting Department and will also provide support for accounting processes and initiatives. The Contract Administrator will report to the Director of Finance and Accounting.
Duties: - Support all aspects of administrative responsibilities of the contract routing process in MPR-s automated process software (MAPS).
- Review contract documents for accuracy and completeness. This includes contracts, purchase orders, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontractor agreements, consultant agreements and vendor agreements.
- Correspond with clients regarding contract status (exception letters, contract acknowledgements), requests for additional information, etc.
- Support project accounting functions regarding maintenance of contract and subcontractor files.
- Support bid review and proposal requests.
- Policy development (e.g. development of a travel policy in accordance with FAR (federal acquisitions regulations) and joint federal travel regulations).
- Coordinate functions associated with client rate letters.
- Provide back-up support to project accounting team (e.g. AP invoice processing, and expense report review).
- Support annual financial and client audits
Qualifications: Education
- Bachelor-s degree required. Candidates without a bachelors will be considered if they are able to show proficiency developed through at least 4 years experience. Certification in contract management a plus
- Minimum 2-year working experience in the field of contracts management
- Experience with a formal contracts routing process. Experience with an electronic routing process a plus
- Experience with commercial and federal government processes is desired
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required
- General understanding of contracts administration required to provide daily support of contracts routing process and contract review
- General accounting experience is a plus

- Experience with Outlook, Word and Excel at an advanced level is required
- General knowledge of PowerPoint is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
