Job Description

The Social Media Intern is a member of our Corporate Marketing team and is responsible for formulating social media plans and then carry them out. The Social Media Intern will post updates to the TalentFront website using basic HTML, write blog posts (once topics are chosen by the marketing team) and post to various social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and any other sites determined to be a fit for the overall company marketing plan. The impact of social media must be measurable and well-documented.

Essential Responsibilities
Creating new profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
Posting to the TalentFront website as needed, using basic HTML
Finding users to follow/friend/like TalentFront
Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business
Replying to comments, messages, etc.
Reporting findings to the team
Job Requirements and Qualifications

Students applying to this internship should be Marketing/Communications/PR or Advertising Majors with 3 years of experience on the Web and a solid creative portfolio

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
Passionate about Social Media (interested in doing it for yourself too!)
GPA at least 3.0
Detail-oriented and technology savvy
Willingness to write press releases, LinkedIn and Facebook posts daily and/or weekly
Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
Ability to identify our target market and "speak" to that client and/or candidate through social media
Ability to work for a small team environment and work autonomously

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
