Position Description:

Provide Human Resources (HR) Management, Payroll, and Learning Management system support for a Federal client.

Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools, and techniques.

Takes initiative in the identification of appropriate design and performance improvement opportunities.

Contributes fully to the work of teams. Is able to plan, schedule and monitor own work within limited time frames.

Demonstrates effective communication skills. Works closely with technical staff and internal customers in ensuring business and technical needs and opportunities are identified and satisfied.

Critical thinking and effective communication skills to troubleshoot and resolve problems as well as interact with users, business analysts and vendor support resources.

Ensure optimal system performance by assisting with configuring, documenting, and monitoring system applications (i.e., application server, web server, process/batch scheduler and report repository configurations, etc.). Responsibilities may include debugging, configuring, tuning, or changing system parameters.

Responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating IT procedures as related to system changes, performance, and maintenance. Analyze and troubleshoot system performance issues. Monitor application logs and handle priority issues in a timely fashion

Perform PeopleSoft project migrations to the 8.0 and 9.x production environments from the non-production environments, and execute DataMover and SQL scripts.

Experience with PeopleTools 8.2x and 8.5x, Linux and Windows Servers, PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.0, PeopleSoft Human Capital Management/Global Payroll version 9.1, and Enterprise Portal 9.1, COBOL compiler, Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
