Motor Vehicle Transportation Specialist

The incumbent of this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the operation and administration of USPTO's motor vehicle transportation program. In this role, the employee directs and oversees the services provided by the USPTO motor vehicle fleet, consisting of seven (7) vehicles, including sedans and passenger shuttle buses. The services provided include chauffeuring services for senior officials transported throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, as well as delivery of official government documents and packages to other federal agencies. Also the incumbent is responsible for providing information and data to the Office of Procurement for preparation of contract specifications or invitations to bid on the USPTO shuttle services contract. Experience:
is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-07. Specialized experience for this position includes experience applying a knowledge of federal motor vehicle transportation policies, regulations, and procedures, experience reviewing and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of a motor vehicle transportation program to include collecting data from various sources, collecting periodic customer surveys, identifying unsatisfactory trends, in transportation services; skill in communicating in writing to include developing and preparing reports related to motor vehicle operations; skill in communicating orally presenting briefings on transportation-related matters. Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
