Financial Analyst position at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
The Senior Financial Analyst supports centralized financial analysis within Operations Divisions, Growth, and CALIBRE Corporate Headquarters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, financial analysis, dashboard reporting, forecasting, and business analytics.
This individual will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and support management decisions by providing actionable financial information, analysis, and reports.
Duties:
Support the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) with financial analysis and business analytics Perform the full lifecycle of financial analysis, as it pertains to revenue and profitability.
Items to analyze include, but are not limited to, manpower and win rate on recompetes and new pursuits.
Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking Gather and analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support Prepare professionally created reports on financial performance for leadership reviews (Corporate Leadership Team Meetings, Monthly Operations Meetings, Board of Directors Meetings, and ad-hoc Bank/Stakeholder reviews) Analyze past company results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation for creating forecasts and models Assist other Corporate financial activities, such as pricing, during periods of required surge Required Skills Required Skills:
Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance Excellent oral and written communications skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work in team settings Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Familiarity with data analytics and management tools (Qlik, Access, SQL, Business Objects) Excellent organizational and customer service skills Able to multi-task and work with multiple stakeholders concurrently Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Able to analyze information to create financial analysis and business analytics; familiar with cost accounting and demonstrates strong financial skills Capable, confident, and composed when working under tight deadlines Willing and able to work extended hours to ensure project completion Able to work independently and with minimum supervision Able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends as required Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the English language Required Experience Required
Experience:
Bachelor s degree is with a concentration in mathematics, economics, accounting, business administration, or finance.
Possess working knowledge of the Federally regulated environment of Government contracting, the regulations (eg FAR, DFAR), and internal risk matrix guidelines Desired
Experience:
