Registered Nurse Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full time experienced RN for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Inova Mt.
Vernon Hospital.
This is a day shift position - 7am-7pmThe Critical Care Unit is a 12 bed combined medical/surgical and cardiac intensive care unit.
Care is provided to adult and geriatric medical and surgical patients with potentially life-threatening illnesses.
Primary interventions include:
cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, acute ventilator support and management and continuous renal replacement therapy.
The patient population includes individuals who are critically ill with cardiac, respiratory, renal, metabolic or multi-organ disorders.
Patients are admitted directly from the operating room to recover from anesthesia when they are deemed unstable or critical by the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist.

BSN or MSNIf Associates Degree RN, within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leaderIdentify which Accredited School the employee plans to attendSubmit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the coursesProvide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion dateComplete BSN within 24 months of start dateBLS for Healthcare Provider Certification requiredRN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RNProficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards othersProficient computer skills required#Inova.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
